Manuel Tânger is a faculty member at Singularity University Portugal and co-founder of Beta-i, a globally recognized collaborative innovation organization, where he serves as Head of Future and Chief Innovation Officer. With an academic foundation in Physics from Instituto Superior Técnico and Utrecht University — where he studied under Nobel laureate Gerard 't Hooft — Manuel brings a rare blend of scientific rigor and entrepreneurial vision to the fields of innovation, exponential technologies, and systems change. At Beta-i, he has been a driving force behind the development of a global collaborative innovation methodology, the creation of Beta-i Tech Labs for AI prototyping, and the launch of landmark open innovation programs including Free Electrons in the energy sector and (Re)Set in sustainability. As founder of LC Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage technology companies, Manuel plays a pivotal role in the European startup ecosystem, helping software-driven innovations scale globally. His corporate career includes senior roles at Danone as Brand Manager and Strategic Planner across Western Europe, and at Qbian as European Marketing Manager for Nokia, where he designed global training programs that strengthened corporate strategy and marketing operations. Manuel's extensive international experience across Brazil, China, India, and Europe, combined with his deep passion for complexity theory and complex networks, informs a uniquely global and systems-driven approach to business and innovation. Based in Portugal and a father of three, Manuel Tânger is a leading voice in entrepreneurship, exponential technology, and the future of human and organizational potential.
