Kris Verburgh, born in 1986, is a distinguished medical doctor who graduated with top honors from the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He is a researcher at the Center Leo Apostel for Interdisciplinary Studies (CLEA) at the Free University Brussels (VUB), specializing in aging, nutrition, metabolism and preventive medicine. He coined 'nutrigerontology,' a field studying the connection between nutrition and aging-related diseases. Besides medicine, he explores evolution, consciousness and neuroscience. Authoring three science books by age 25, his debut work earned him the title of Europe's youngest science book author and an Eureka Science Prize nomination.
