Expert Bio

Eleonora Cogo is a climate change and sustainability expert with over 15 years of experience advising businesses and governments on environmental strategy, climate policy, and sustainable development. She served as Senior Scientific Manager at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) and played a pivotal role as a member of the Italian delegation and EU team of negotiators at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), contributing directly to the landmark Paris Agreement in 2015. She has also served on the board of the Adaptation Fund and previously held senior roles at EcoSecurities in Oxford, where she managed Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) emission reduction projects, and at Alperia Bartucci SpA, where she worked on EU Emissions Trading Schemes (EU-ETS). Eleonora holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Trento, an MSc in Environmental Management from Aalborg University, and an MBA from IE Business School. In 2017, she won Italy's Global Impact Challenge and participated in Singularity University's Global Solutions Program in Silicon Valley. A recognized innovator at the intersection of technology and climate, she created 'Change Game' in 2020, a video game designed to communicate the complexity of climate change, which was shortlisted in the Best Innovation category at the Italian Video Game Awards. She is an Expert at Singularity University and a sought-after speaker on innovation, technology, and climate change.
